OK. Anybody who's on MTV making music video's is crap. She is just part of a new trend of gay rock.Just because you dress a certain way does not mean you are punk or in the punk scene. Punk rock is paying eight dollars to cram into a crapy club and rock out to some crapy band, listening to underground and local music, shopping at a second hand store, and making your own clothes. All I'm trying to say is to be yourself and make your own trend. That's what punk really is.

Look, punk is a cubculture OUTSIDE of mainstream where people who do not fit in can find others that also don't and hang out with them. We accept eachothers' differences and love that we're not mainstream. We accomplish things for the environment and human and animal rights and play our music, not caring if it sells or not. Punk rock is our self-expression. It's beautiful. We want to be underground. It hurts me deeply that someone who actually fits in would change themself and try to copy people in my subculture just so that she can sell records. Avril claims her music is punk rock, and it just ISN'T. Can't you see that this is a brilliant marketing strategy born in the minds of greedy pop industry trendwhores? Try to understand how my friends and I feel. We've all tried to fit in, but can't. We're different and can never be mainstream. Punk is where we fit in. It's all we have. avril doesnt claim to be punk, or claim that she's a good skater. but, she looks HOT when she dresses punk (as most chicks do), so she can dress punk if she wants to. all girls should.

and, i like bands like nofx, rancid, the ramones and goldfinger, but i also like bands like blink 182 and relient k. rare that people try to say that blink 182 and sum 41 arnt punk, but if you look at any of the chords and tabs from their songs you will notice that they are pretty similar to bands like nofx. HENCE they are in the punk rock genre.

avrils music is kinda pop i have to say but some of it is ok and it does appear on kerrang ever since i started highskool i never dressed like a girly girl i was never into shitty pop music or hip hop or that 50 cent and eminem shit i was always into punk music and i never dressed like the other girls in my year it sucked but that was me and i havent changed my self and never will im and individual who dresses the way they want to and doesnt follow the crowd when avril came it it made me feel that there were other ppl like that out there i always wear baggy pants tshirts hooodys caps shit like that basically skater type and i always wear skating shoes or converse trainers i hate all that townie crap and girls who always wear skirts and boob tubes whereever they go and listen to sjit music. i normally listen to inme. billytalent, him,blink 182, lostprophets,funeral for a friend, newfoundglory, reel big fish, taking back sunday, fool proof, evanescence, distillers, finch , afi. sum 41, brand new, cky , stokes, in onther words real music emo punk rock its they way i live and avrils style is so kool i love it
