Blair Attacked by a Condom

Tony Blair and other ministers were attacked today by the "Fathers 4 Justice" group. They threw condoms full of purple powder (guys, paint would have been so much better!) at the front and back benches of the government.

Proceedings were called to a halt and the chamber evacuated shortly after one of the condoms grazed the back of the Prime Minister. Of course, this would have to happen after a £600,000 glass screen was erected to prevent any articles from being thrown from the stranger's gallery. (Of course, it should be said that Fathers 4 Justice were not actually in the stranger's gallery, but instead in the VIP gallery).

The speaker - all credit to him - was sensible enough to close the VIP gallery permanently, meaning that guests will only be able to hide behind the glass screen (which is a real shame).
