A Blue Moon Rising

Occasionally there are months in which there are two full moons. This is a 'blue moon' month. This photo is the product of photographing the moon as it is tonight with my 4MP Canon IXUS. I'm not sure why it creates an orange glow, however the moon isn't that color right now. Anyone know?

The orange glow is because of the dust. At the horizon, the moonlight travels through a denser atmosphere path than in the zenit :)
