How safe is your TV License?

February 01, 2006

I just discovered that the BBC have 'acquired' a number of properties in Middlesborough to prove how stupid you can be. It's called How Safe is your Home? and it is a series of real-life experiments, flooding a house with a bath, setting fire to another...

Granted, it's pretty interesting to see two tonnes of water, iron and masonry fall from one floor to another, but I guarantee you the spend of 100 gallons of water (there is a drought coming soon), trashing a house, furniture and so on is not as impressive.

I hope that as a TV license taxpayer, I didn't contribute to buying a number of houses to trash them. If I did - then lets hope the BBC has enough wits to ensure that the land is sold at a premium to a developer!
